Description
The beautifully renovated South Course at the Los Angeles Country Club, designed by Geoff Shackelford, was opened in the summer of 2016 and was the inspiration for Pinkham's Afternoon Drive at Eleven. The stately pine and oak are set against a backdrop of billowy white clouds on a pleasant summer day. The trees cast cool late-morning shadows across rolling lawns, and a gently curving path assures a smooth golf-cart ride on the way to the 11th hole in the distance. Pinkham’s vivid colors and distinct texture all become part of the scene that inspires the viewer into playing an enjoyable round of golf.

Created during the Invitational Plein Air Event at Los Angeles Country Club on the South Course, July 22-24, 2016. Organized by American Legacy Fine Arts in Collaboration with LACC Art Committee.

Exhibited
