Description
At first glance, Scott Prior's Paddington's 8-Ball appears to be an idyllic painting reminiscent of childhood. However, each object in this still-life has a symbolic undertone. Often times, the magic 8- ball represents the idea of chance, while the lemon is symbolic of luxury, or the fickle nature of wealth. The objects possess a soft glow with realistic shading. This painting is a still-life that possesses plein air qualities.
