Artist Statement
“Streams have always interested me as a subject-- the colors through the water fascinate me, not to mention they are usually very pleasant places to hang out for a few hours. In this piece, I was trying to catch the flow and cascade of the water over the rocks in this little stream in Washoe Valley, Nevada, and while painting it realized how lovely the water sounded-- that it wasn’t just visually stimulating-- but other senses came into play while painting, too; hence the title!”
