Artist Statement
“‘Tinker Bell’ is one of my series of pictures for a forthcoming Peter Pan portfolio of prints. I am obsessive when it comes to Peter Pan, especially the original version which is quite dark in nature.
Tinker Bell is an important character in the book, play and movies. She is described in the original book as being plump, which is why in my picture she does not have the traditional Marilyn Monrroe-ish and svelte forms depicted by Disney and so many other artists.”
