Artist Statement
"I am always humbled by the magnitude of the Sierra Nevada Range with its monumental mountains towering over lakes and pines. Convict Lake is a particular favorite place of mine to paint. What interested me in this scene, here in late spring, was the contrast between the immobility of Mt. Morrison at 12,276 feet and the shifting clouds and windswept waters of the frigid lake."
