Artist Statement
“This painting was recently done on-location while I was camped in the Buttermilk area at the base of the Eastern Sierra, west of Bishop, California. It is a well known bouldering area because of the large outcrops. Folks come to try their climbing skills, while I come to try my painting skills– on one of my favorite subjects– rocks!”

Provenance
Acquired by American Legacy Fine Arts directly from the artist. Painted en plein air in Sierra Nevada
