Artist Statement

"Sometimes when the weather heats up at home in Ojai, I escape with my painting gear to the cooler temperatures at the coast. This painting came about during one of those recent heat waves. The view is from the Carpinteria Bluffs looking toward Santa Barbara. A lovely shaded vantage point."
