Description
Representing fall season, Lukits created a poetic ambiance with luminous qualities of a rural harvest. The scene show's a bowl of perfectly-ripened oranges and clusters of firm grapes. At the apex of the skewed-pyramid composition is a copper jug, which one could imagine to be filled with cold, fresh milk. The freshly-cut chrysanthemums laid across the table complement a simple banquet reminiscent of Southern California farm life in the 1930s.
