Artist Statement
"I took plein air notes while in Northern Italy of this unique setting. While doing so I snacked on wild boar sausage and cheese. Church bells rang on the hour! The painting was later completed in my studio. The scene is the famed Da Vinci Bridge that appears in the background landscape of the Mona Lisa. The bridge spans the Arno River near Arezzo in Tuscany. What a grand time that was!"
