“It is always exciting seeing the remnants of a storm rolling out to sea knowing that the next day will be full of sunshine and warm weather. I have tried to portray a feeling of hope in the midst of clouds at the end of the day. This work painted en plein air in pastel in front of our beach house in Oceanside, California after a long storm in October of 2023.”
