“I am always excited to paint at Malibu when the surf is large and pounding. The sounds of the waves crashing, the exhilarating patterns of foam and spray, the stark contrast of light and shadows excite and enliven my imagination. I am able to totally lose myself in what I am looking at and somehow the painting seems to paint itself.”
