Artist Statement “This breathtaking panorama depicting the many layers of mountains was painted from the Glendora Pass and is perhaps my favorite view of the San Gabriel mountain range, particularly at sunset when the peaks and crevices capture all sorts of interesting atmospheric effects, such as this rolling mist. I especially painted this scene in a vertical format to be reminiscent of classical Chinese landscape hanging scrolls."
