Artist Statement
"This piece was painted during the summer standing on our walkway leading to the house, a June painting when the roses are at their peak flowering. My wife Terry was observing the garden and doing some pruning. Adding a figure completed the painting and gave a sense of fulfillment and connection both Terry and I have with our property and the act of painting plein air in the yard."
